Feb. 1979 Founded Melco Overseas Service Co., Ltd. Launched an ancillary service to support the overseas business of Mitsubishi Electric.
Jun. 1989 Changed company name to Melco Overseas Co., Ltd.
Jul. 1995 Founded Melco Material Supply. Began procuring indirect material for Mitsubishi Electric.
Dec. 1998 Melco Overseas Co., Ltd. established "Melco Trading (Thailand) Co., Ltd." as a local affiliate in Thailand
